I wanted death.
History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.

Me too. It will pass. Just… just remember that it will. I’m sure we’ll laugh about all of this soon…*kisses the top of his head*

*lip trembles as she gives him a soft squeeze* Everything will be okay, in the end. Everything will—everything will be okay.

Yes. *He doesn’t know what else to say. He’s angry. The surpressed emotion makes him feel numb inside. But he can’t act on it. He just wants Orianna to feel better and he’s so angry to have her upset at all.*

*turns her head to look at him, tears rolling openly down her cheeks* I— I want to fix this but I don’t know what to do.

You did not break anything. *gently wipes at the tears on her cheeks* You do not have to fix it. He’s having a tantrum. *wraps an arm around her and presses her closer to him*

replied to your post: What’s that?
You forgot to mention the part where you didn’t know anything.

You’ve been asleep for a while, J. You don’t know what I know.

This is the part where you tell me you have cameras all over the house? I can’t believe you would watch the evidence.

o3orianna:

embracegoodbye:

o3orianna:

Orianna returns with a small plate, a spoonful of buttered rice, of vanilla pudding, of un sweetened plain yogurt, and of oatmeal with sugar placed at quarters around it. She sets it down on the table by him with a spoon. “I tried to find foods that were softer in general, but the tastes of all of these are mild like the bread was.”

With the food presented in front of him, Jalen sits there blinking down at it. Taking the spoon, it takes him a few seconds to get the appropriate handle on the utensil—he’s just not use to eating with them, and it does not fit easily in his hand as a tablet pen would. He’s hesitant to begin eating, knowing that he’s not really interested in the food and afraid that if he ends up not liking anything he might insult Orianna; he wouldn’t dare lie about it. This seemed like so much trouble. He went for the yogurt first.

Guiding the spoonful to his mouth, he swallowed without over-thinking it. The taste was… tart, but it was very mild. He enjoy the texture most, it was smooth but happened to be heavier than a liquid. “This one is good.” He commented, looking up at Orianna.

The fact that he did not immediately spit out his first bite and dismiss the rest made the entire plate worth it. She would not blame him if he did not like the food—who would, when it was custom to have every meal in a glass?

“Yogurt,” she supplied, smiling. “I was hoping that, out of all of them, at least that would work.”

He nodded in approval. Yogurt. He’d remember that for future reference.

The rice, ah, he didn’t enjoy the taste at all. The texture even less. After his half spoonful, he politely spat it back into his napkin and decided to move on quickly so that perhaps Orianna wouldn’t linger on it too much.

He almost did the same to the vanilla pudding. It wasn’t awful enough to spit out but he hadn’t expected it to be as sweet. Somehow he was expecting the same taste spectrum as the yogurt; in fact he thought it had just more yogurt and wanting to combat the remains of the rice. Thinking it over he thought it was actually quite good but only desirable in small amounts. He couldn’t make a meal out of something like that.

He gave the oatmeal a strange look.
